Anyone had dents removed?

I've got a dent in my fender from a guy who backed into me in a parking lot. It's about 2 inches across and on a body line. Someone told me that a pro dent remover could get it out fairly cheap, but I'm unsure.

Anyone had this done? Does it work or is it a waste of money?

Thanks.

take it in to a good body shop. The sooner you do it the better the results will be. Depending on the crease, they may be able to pop it out without having to repaint - it all depends if the paint gets (or is already) cracked or not.

As far as getting the dent out, yes, you can almost always get metal dents all the way out.

Body shops often outsource dent removing. If it is just a dent, then Dent Pro or a similar company does a great job. I had two dents taken out in less than 20 mins and for much cheaper than a shop. If there is any paint damage, and you have the guys insurance, go to a shop and get it fixed.

The above confirms my experience also. I had a local detail shop take out a couple dimple dents that had not creased the metal or cracked the paint, it cost $100 and now looks perfect. Paintless dent removal is good.

If the body line is a crease or sharp edge, its not likely that it can be pulled, and may have to be hammered out.

I seen it done before....but depends on what type of dent it is....if its just a little dent no problem but it if it was hit hard, you may need some paint!
