Vacuum cruise control

I have a 79 suburban w/ vacuum cruise control...only one problem...the shit is disconnected....anyone know how to hook it back up?

You'll probably find that it was disconnected because iit malfunctioned. A common thing to go is the control box or the wires in the steering column going to the stalk. Easiest way to hook it back up would be to find another 'Burb to compare to.

If it was me I'd throw an aftermarket control on. For about $100 you'll have something that you know works that'll come with a decent set of instructions.

HUmmm thats wy it didn't work when I got it, then I had a new signal arm put in and it worked again..but now its broke again!

I had to remove the link to the vac cruise thing to the carb in our gmc jimmy. The thing would floor the gas on it and that was not fun.

ok...now supose it does work and he unhooked it for whatever reason...and i dont have $100....how would i hook it up in that scenerio?

Have they simply disconnect the vacuum hose or did they remove the link to the carb? Is the servo in place? The diaphragm?
