Comfortable sport seats?
I am looking for some comfortable racing buckets. I want comfortable, bet supportive seats that can be used with 5 point harnesse. Any suggestions?
|
i'm not sure what seats they are (you should be able to find out easily) but the seats in my friend's Evo are quite comfortable (and he does have 5-point harnesses installed). i've never been on a long road trip with him, but for driving around town i have never been uncomfortable.

I've heard very good things about Recaro.

The Evo seats most people think are very comfortable. Personally, they just dont fit my body right and i couldn't stand them for too long. Just make sure you try out whatever seat it is before you buy it.

Now, I don't know TOO much about this stuff, but this site seems to be kinda cool, and you can shop by vehicle. Modacar

Recaro makes excellent seats. You want a sport, NOT a race seat. You can even get 'em in leather. Nice stuff.

Recaro is always nice but is quite spendy. I personally prefer OMP for fitment and comfort. They are rather hard to find in the US but they are setting up a bunch of US distro's this year. OMP is also a little bit cheaper than Recaro. No knocks on them but they are top of the line, and the price reflects that. Otherwise you can always try Kirkey, they are not the most stylish but they are VERY, VERY functional.
Racetech is a newer company that really does have some geat looking products, I have never used them before but heard only good feedback about there seats. Hope this helps a little. |
Sparco are excellent racing seats. EXTREMELY comfortable as well. I was in one for 8 hours and was able to sleep and had no back pain or anything after the long ride.
|
Kinda off subject but what kinda car are you putting um into?
|
My jetta has aftermarket recaro seats. They are really comfortable. They give you good support, and everyone says how they could just sit in them all day. Definetly high quality seats, without the ricey "racing seat" look.

Recaro is definitely the way to go

If your looking for a "off road" style seat I love the Jazz bucket seats. They have five point or six point provisions, have a washable cover and are very supportive seats.

The smartest thing to do would be go to your local sport shop and look at the books they got, if they got books, the shop in my hometown here has tons of books with anything from lights to driveshafts!
