This is a burnout my friend did with his stock 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse

Yeah, clutch drop combined with the e-brake. Front wheel drive cars can't do that without e-brake help.

Maybe im the only one....i just dont see the amazement or fascination of burnouts. They seem like a stupid thing to do to your car just for a little attention. I mena really, rev it high enough, drop the clutch fast enough and you can do a burnout in any car out there. Why risk your clutch,tranny,rear end, tires, etc. just for a little smoke show that any car out there could do? i mean if that your thing, more powe to ya, but i just dont see whats so neat about it.

I think your friend should mod the car and make it go fast instead of making it look fast. It looks cool, but I'd rather be dropping the clutch like that to go down the drag strip than to burn out.

Not a vid, but a pic. That was about 2 years ago the day I packed her in for the winter, brought the welds inside and tossed the ol mags on. Heh, a LOTS changed since then.

anyone ever see that video of i think a rx-6 doing donuts in the middle of the dragstrip and then his engine blows up. that is a classic retard.

Some little Australian ute, from the looks of it. Can't say I know a lot of cars that don't come to North America.

I was confused myself until I noticed that it's right hand drive. The license plate should have tipped me off too, but sometimes I'm just not that swift.

That red car is a Falcon xR8. I love the coupe version of the xR8. Australians have awesome cars. Holden and Vauxhall are also some great Australian car brands. I <3 Holden HSV GTO

Have you ever seen the fire department report to a burnout? A guyt I know had quit his job like 6 hours earlier, so he did the biggest burnout I have ever seen in his F-350 6.0 diesel company truck. You could hear the truck shift through all the gears, the burnout lasted for a good minute or two. 45 minutes later the fire department shows up responding to complaints of the smell of burnt rubber from all around the neighborhood. good times

I would also like to add, he spent his last check on new tires for said truck.

id hate to be doin burnouts on good tires. Those things cost a lot

we don't do it on good tyres...

we can get them from out the tip for cheap.

you'd be surprised how many people throw away perfectly good road legal tyres!!!

these photos were taken seconds before my brothers harmonic balancer went flying out of the bottom of the bonnet...
it had some pace on it! it rolled off in2 the bush...
he should have it fixed and back on the pad by this weekend, cause hes a mechanic by trade.

he was trying to do a stand-still in the coolant that leaked from Noelys car when the heater tap blew... but the dirt bike hard too much powere for him, and he nearly dropped it quite a few times...

my car (the blue VP they r sitting around) is an automatic with busted brakes.
i don't do any burnouts in it any more. and there are no photos from when i did cause i'm always the camera man! i'm lookin at upgrading my car to a Manual VN (so really its a downgrade, because VNs are older) so maybe in the future u'll see photos of me. :thumbsup:

heh..awesome pics. haven't seen anything around here, except a BMW 3-series coupe doing a five minute straight set of donuts in a parking lot.

a month ago, i did a neutral drop from redline in my buddy's stock POS eagle talon. laid rubber across an intersection, then ten seconds later a cop car comes around the corner and stops me. he gave me shit for five minutes and threatened to give me a $400 stunting ticket, but he let me go. (phew)

AHH I miss so much. Never really smoked the tires, just spin them a little. Then I bought a WRX and can't even do that now. (all wheel drive) It's a blast though when I take it on dirt roads, or fly around corners. Love that stuff. My friend is planning on getting a Mustang and putting some serious work in it really soon. I'll post if he smokes the tires at all.
