2004 Yamaha R1
anyone know exactly how many HP this bike is putting to the rear wheel?
the website says the engine makes 180 but that seems REALLY high.... |
yer i heard 180 too... dunno many people that could handle that mind you.
give me a go, give me a go! |
180 sounds fine, it is a super-bike.

thanks sixate! |
Crank another 80 hp and 5 000 rpm out of that engine, and you've practically got a 1 litre formula one engine.
|
That bike is just bad ass. I love the center exit exhaust.
|
180 horsies:eek:
|
isnt that a crank horsepower reading?
it'd definitley be less at the wheel |
sixate: Thanks for that R1 wallpaper. :)

update:
180 HP is the calculated HP at the crank with the ram-air in full swing... we'll prolly see like 160 AT MOST at the rear wheel on a dyno, but realistically around 155 prolly... |
What's the price tag?
[EDIT] Nevermind, got off my lazy ass and checked. About $11,000 |

you'll prolly be able to get them for 10, mebbe less if your good at haggling and they really wanna get rid of one..... but figure 10k... |

But sweet bike anyways.... |
Looks great, I really like the exhaust setup, real tight!
|
Oh My God. That Is fucking AWESOME. I love that bike. I'll take four.
Take Visa? |
Nice looking bike. As said previously the exhaust design is killer. I prefer cruisers but can appreciate the power and beauty.
|
"Hell ZX-12s only just get over 170hp at the rear wheel."
Only? =) |
