Six, I think I'd kill someone to borrow one for a week.... But that's just me.

acpower 04-22-2003 04:53 PM

it's an odd shaped car but... after not liking the new design (as opposed to the F50).. this car is really nice in its own way

BatmanMan 04-22-2003 05:11 PM

I agree. I would definately kill someone for a car like that.
Sweet Pics :)

Zesty 04-22-2003 07:49 PM

sweet lookin ride

drawerfixer 04-22-2003 08:32 PM

For some reason, it reminds me of a hammerhead shark. Not the best looking Ferrari, but still incredible.

evo_schen 04-23-2003 09:03 AM

after the homocide, let's see the cops try to chase you in that bad boy

Grondar 04-23-2003 09:50 AM

That is one sweet looking car.

The backside kind of reminds me of a Lotus Elise, but that isn't a bad thing by any means.

Anyone know what the pricetag of these will be?

xMetal 04-23-2003 10:12 AM

according to the window sticker of one, it is (ready)

$659,430, including the destination charge.

gulp.

deepinjello 04-23-2003 08:53 PM

I would most definately kill for a car like that. Thanks for the pics, sixate.

ireallydontknow 04-24-2003 04:50 PM

That is one fucking awesome car. Thanks for the pix.

BoCo 04-24-2003 05:47 PM

I'll admit it's an odd shape, and not nearly as nice looking as the F50, but it's still one of the baddest cars ever to hit the street. If I owned one, it'd be the first one to hit 100,000 miles! :D

clonmult 04-25-2003 07:13 AM

Jay Kay (from the band Jamiroquai) was at the San Marino GP a week or so back, he said that he'd just took delivery of his, he was just like a (bloody rich) kid with a new toy.

Lucky git!

Don't think its the best looking Ferrari of all time though, far from it - for me, thats the 308/328/208/etc, they have curves to kill for!

clonmult 04-25-2003 07:26 AM

Just found out that you can't "just" buy one of these Enzos.

Walk on down to your local ferrari dealership, buy five other ferraris first, and then you qualify to put your money down and buy the blighter - you have to have a history of owning ferraris before owning one of these! Jeeeeze!

You may think it's unfair but what about that guy that has like six or seven Ferrari's and is completley loyal to the brand name. I think that rule is there to prevent those from buying the car then selling it at a "black".

Elitegibson 04-25-2003 03:39 PM

holy mary mother of god. that car probably gets all the pussy it wants.

soccerchamp76 04-25-2003 10:02 PM

This car belongs at a race track, not on a street. If you want a sweet street Ferrari, buy the 575M. Buy the Enzo to out-race any car. (heck, the 575 will outrace almost any car)

username 04-25-2003 10:24 PM

That is a cool car, but I like some of the older ferraris a little more.

Serpent 04-26-2003 04:01 PM

Looks like their f1 car with a body shell heh.

clonmult 04-28-2003 06:48 AM

Whatcha reckon, which is faster, this Enzo or a McLaren F1???

clonmult 04-28-2003 06:53 AM

Ultimatecarpage.com is useful ... the McLaren has less weight and similar power .... the Macca is still (just) about the fastest production car on the planet.

End User 05-02-2003 05:07 PM

The Enzo is not street legal in Australia, so even if I could afford one, I wouldnt be able to (legally) go cruising in it!
It goes an amazing 0-100kmh (0-60mph) in under 4 seconds, and more amazingly, gets up to 200kmh (125mph) in under 10 seconds!!!

Actually, you don't even get put on the list if you go out and buy 5 Ferraris, you have to own them for a certain number of years.

"To be ”suitable” to purchase one of the 349 Ferrari Enzo Ferrari to be made, one has to be a long-time Ferrari customer, and one should have owned an F40 and an F50"

Because this car is a tribute to Enzo Ferrari himself, the car maker decided they wanted the Enzo to go to true Ferrari lovers, not someone who will turn around and sell the car for twice the price they purchased it for.

The Enzo is awesome. I saw it in a Motorsports mag I think. Whomever has one of those has to have hella cash... and mad women. :D

This is a good looking car, just not a sexy looking car.

To be sexy, a car has to have curves, like a woman .... this car is too square - saying its "sexy" is like saying that China/Joanie Laurer is sexy.

There are many, many cars that look good to me. TVR Speed 6, Speed 12, Ford Contour SVT, GT 40, 03' Cobra, classic Camaros, classic Firebirds. Chrysler Crossfire, Infinity G35 Coupe, Viper, MOST Ferrari models...

Need more? ;)

Actually i was just wondering, that gave me a good list. I was wondering what was different between you an me. :D I think i found it. I find the Viper to be neutral, the G35 to be ok, but i agree on the most ferrari models, i don't like the F40.

That is one bad ass car... Do how many lifetimes am I going to have to work in order to afford one of those?

BadNick 07-24-2003 09:50 AM

Don't forget that the entire limited production run of 300 or so Enzo's was sold out before the first one ever rolled out of assembly. The ones for sale now are being resold even though I'm sure many resells will still be new never titled.

I love many Ferraris and the performance of the Enzo is superlative, but I always had a big soft spot for the "classic" look of the '67 275 GTB/4. In 1972, when I was shopping for my first sports car just after getting out of college, I had a chance to buy one for just over $14k USD but since that was more than a year salary for me then, I got a perfect '67 XKE roadster instead for $2200. That Ferrari model later sold for over $1million but soon the speculators fell out of the market and now you can get one for a few hundred thousand less.

bleet 07-24-2003 10:13 AM

sweet car.. i want to see this in real life so fucking bad. nice pics.

TwistedFate 07-24-2003 11:37 AM

To expand on what Gnzo said about owning one. It's kind of implied in his post but is a little unclear. You had to be invited to purchase one.

Jay Kay originally declined his invitation (WTF???), but then he saw one in black and had to have one. Somebody else backed out of the deal and Jay Kay got another chance at owning one, he jumped at it that time.

They're having a Ferrari expo at a local art museum. Gotta say that the old ones are so pretty. This one is nice, sure, but some of those old Ferraris have so much style.

0001 07-24-2003 09:54 PM

Koenigsegg is faster :P :D

And frankly, I think it looks better too... different strokes for different folks though. McLaren still rules the heap anyways.

edmos1 07-25-2003 12:34 PM

not sure since I am a little short on the 1.2M, but historically, the F40 and F50 I think after you qualified, by owning 5 or 6 Ferarris, it gave you the right to Lease the new Ferarri. after the 2 year lease or whatever, you could buy it, but it forced you to have it for a couple of years, and it was still Ferarris car....

BeBogus 07-25-2003 10:24 PM

One awesome ride... but lets assume we can afford to buy it.... that doesn't mean we would have the money to maintain that car for everyday use. I read a review in Car Mag. about an individual that purchased one and some of the figures for other things were insaine. for example:
Price per pint of motor oil - $60 Total number of pints in car is 12.3... so that comes out to a little over $700 for an oil change.
Price per Brake calaper - $12,000
haha... for that kind of money i could by a damn kia every time i had to replace the damn thing
Still a bad ass car but it just scares me the price to maintain one of these beasts if you were to drive one often.

Tickford 07-28-2003 10:23 PM

Even I could pickup in a car like that.....

The.Lunatic 07-28-2003 10:32 PM

Ferrari Enzo: $659,000, 217mph top speed, 0-60 in 4

Suzuki Hayabusa + turbo, exhaust, etc: $20,000, 230-240mph top speed, 0-60 in 3

I'll take the Hayabusa please. BTW, does anyone have any 1/4 mi times for the Enzo?

Pyke 07-30-2003 10:06 PM

0-60 3.3 secs

Just the fact that this sports car is compared to a motorcycle and not a car for speed and accel specs puts it in a league of its own.... along with a McLearen and the Saleen S7 of course. :)

There's not a ferrari I don't love...:)

psykosis 08-26-2003 07:40 PM

First off, the Enzo looks sooooooo much better in person. I've seen a red one at an auto show, and a yellow one at a dealership. Photos do it no justice. Second off, I would do many illegal things to own that car. Third, I have a pics of it at the showroom, but I can't attach pics (too newb I guess), and my uplink is down. It's a kinda shitty pic, but at least I can say I've seen it in person (as well as a Saleen S7. I've been in that car)...

djflish 08-28-2003 11:01 AM

i think its ugly as hell!
but then im not a fan of ferrari, the only one i'd ever have is an F40.

Plus Michael Schumacher helped develop it and anything to do with him should be avoided like the plague!

archer2371 08-28-2003 11:05 PM

I'll take one of those, an F360 Modena, and the Ferrari Killers (Saleen S-7 and the new Ford GT) :D

soccerchamp76 08-31-2003 07:27 AM

The "Ferrari-Killer" Ford GT can only beat the slowest, cheapest Ferrari. Put it against the 575 or Enzo and it is toast.

jumpingbeans 09-03-2003 06:22 AM

Are you sure? Because that's what everyone else said about the original GT40 before LeMans, and I believe it was the GT40 that was the winning car when it came out.

Nobody has yet beaten the Mclaren F1 at either acceleration or top speed. Koenigsegg seem to talk a lot about it, but still no evidence. Even if they did - and they won't - it's a turbo and that's cheating *sniff*. The Enzo isn't even in the race; nor is the Carrera GT, but I do have an awful lot of respect for that particular porker.
