i'm looking at a 97 rav4 and i can't find out if it is an all wheel drive with a locking center diferential to give it 4 wheel drive or if it is front wheel or rear wheel drive with a locking dif for 4 wheel drive. it has the locking dif but the gas milage rating 26 hwy would indicate an all wheel drive vs two wheel drive configuration.

it's either a straight FWD or a full time AWD. There was no RWD option on the Rav4. Put its VIN into carfax.com's website. It'll tell you which configuration that car has in the screen before the part where you have to pay for a title report.
