Is it just me or do the tires on the F1 have very little ir no tread at all?!?!?!

no tread for dry conditions, there are two versions of rain tires that have treads however

The only reason tires have tread is for sub-optimal conditions. These would be wet and off- road conditions. So for dry tracks, you have what are called "racing slicks".
