				Saab Files for Bankruptcy
http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2009...Saab.html?_r=1 t The great experiment has begun. For years, critics of GM and Chrysler have said that the only way to save these two companies is through a Chapter 11 filing that would give them leeway in shedding dealers and renegotiations with the UAW. I still think for these companies, a Ch 11 filing is just a speed bump on the road to Ch 7, but maybe they'll prove me wrong. Would you buy a car from a bankrupt Saab?

| Riding the Ocean Spray Location: S.E. PA in U Sofa | Buying a car like that is not on my list at this time, regardless of the financial status of the company....though I did own a 9000 a few years ago and that was a nice car. To my way of thinking, Saab is a car manufacturer that someone could purchase, reorganize, and manage into a profitable, well-run car company. They have a marketable identify and their current designs are quite well sorted out. |

| Tired Location: Florida | I remember my dad's ex-wife having a Sabb(don't remember the model it was a 2-door) and I thought it was a nice car. It was pretty fast too. She named the car "Sven." Heh. She no longer has it though.

| Her Jay Location: Ontario for now.... | I'd still buy from Saab, fuckin love Saab. Living in a military town I've been seeing them since I was born, military personnel were always bringing them back after their posting to CFB Lahr, still quite a few old ones around town.

| eat more fruit Location: Seattle | I always found Saab's to be unusual. I think one issue they had is that in their recent commercials they were marketing their vehicles as a luxury brand. I'm not sure what Saab is supposed to be, but I am pretty sure it's not what people think of when they hear the word 'luxury'.
