Why did the axle fall off? Is that due to torque?

It's due to an ASS POOR "welding" job with a little 110v Harbor Freight flux core machine.

No longer live there, but originally from Stratford, almost on the Bridgeport line, but used to do chassis work up in Hamden. I do spend the holidays down there though.
