How do they get the car out of the pit in a situation like that?

forklift? tow truck? how ever they did it... im sure it wasn't pretty

A couple people can lift a car from down there.

4 strong ones, most likely.

I would say a small crane, but maybe a tow truck and some lifting.

Smart shop, the video is gonna be their best defense if that person sues/sued claiming they were instructed wrong and wrecked cuse of it.

Maybe not - they didn't slide the grate over the pit, which would have kept the car from going in as deep and probably would have saved it from almost all of the damage.
