Need some help on a certain bike
 

ok, looking to get a 1993 Yamaha FZR 600 (just to start off on, then hopefully going to a R1) anybody have one or know somebody that does. i need as much info as possible. thanks.

any peticular reason you are after that exact model?

well they arent the greatest starting bike, they are very quick and can get you in trouble fast.....they are quick, but very bent over so not good for long trips.....i personally would recommend getting a 500 and then move up to a supersport 600.....but if you specficially want an fzr i would go first and sit on one and see if its comfortable, and remember it may be comfortable for the first few minutes but hours later it may be very unpleasent

Get a CBR600. Better in every respect.

thanks for all the suggestions. no particular reason im looking for an fzr, its around my town and a fairly decent price. but like i said its just a starter bike.

If you want a sports bike, this is a good place to look. The people on this board are good people. Also, is this your first ever bike? Do you have any experience riding?

I agree with the CBR 600 remark!! I 've tried many sportbikes in 600cc, this one by far was the best, I my opinion.

Take the safety class, then figure out what you might like....

there is a safety class? ill def. take it, need some more info on that though
