I realise that there are many poetry threads. however it seems to be okay to start your own.....

heres a few poems of mine. tell us what you think.



pride in work..

elegence, like virtuosity, is practices reward,
fire in speech can leave men awed....
but is power and words enough?
to make a mark in todays world, luck
seems all that is needed, gold and muck
do indeed come from the same shaft..
sometiimes, though, the gold is discarded,
or so it seems,
and forced to give up their dreams,
and muck is given voice to speak....
as if a carver, working, puts hand to a block of teak,
and finds to dismay mere rotten wood,
gods experience here must tell....
if only his work is flawed as well....


reflections on life..

"like life fled, is fear gone...
death, to be feared? to to be welcomed?
either two things....a welcome rest,
or life, existing after death....
as once was said...
"what is life,
but a prelude to death?
and death,
but an escape from life?"
sometimes i ask, is that truth?
or a twisted fiction, knowledge complete,
but for the facts we know are missing tho.
paradoxical that peace itself
can seem as heavenly as gods rest...
if god is real, thats now to the test...."

"sees me now, she walks down the road,
effects a careful smmetry, a peace of mind
that seems..so poingnat in its effect,
for effect it brings, its veiw becalms
as excellence becalms the eye.....
like da vinci, renior...to veiw the sight
is calm befalls the mind....as she to me..

i speak "where goest thou..."
or word to that effect, for seeming comes hard
when the mind is baffled with images
of past and present, future shock a possible text...
however, alas, she mesures up, a tally over head and mind
and lacking, seeming grace and wit, dismiss the thorn from edens side...
walking down the road....alone...
yet another challenge i must atone...

I think the messages are quite good....would work a bit on the Grammar, to clean it up a bit but overall....good stuff
