I wrote this one a couple of days ago, It seems to fit this well

You Left Me Stranded

One day as I was traveling down the road, I met you. We talked, we laughed, we held each others hand and decided we would like to cruise down the road together. We started off into a beautiful valley, the trees we Green, the wildflowers growing all along side the road and the mountains majestic. The car was running flawlessly, and with the wind blowing through our hair we hadn't a care.

As we traveled through this valley, we took our time because it was so beautiful. There were a few bumps along the way, but we didn't care, we were happy to be enjoying the scenery. It seemed so new and fresh.

Well, summer turned to winter, And the car started having problems. We pulled into a dirty little town where no one would talk to us, and everyone seemed to be a little grumpy. We tried to get the car fixed, and It was almost impossible to get any help. We almost decided to go our separate ways, but we sat down and had a talk, and we agreed we were going to continue this drive together. The next day, a very nice man met us at the hotel, and helped us get the car going again. We left that town that very afternoon

As we crested the hill, the most awesome scenery we had ever seen came upon us. We thought no matter what happened, we could continue this journey, happy to be alive, happy to be together, and smiling. We drove on and talked and loved and laughed some more.

Well, we pulled into another town, and it was kind of dark and dreary, but together we knew it didn't really matter where we went, as long as we were together. We had some food, and got a motel, and spent the night. It was a beautiful night together, and when you looked into my eyes and told me you loved me, I felt it from inside your heart.

The next morning we got up and decided to head east. You told me you loved me with all your heart, and you were glad we we going to continue on this journey together, and would I still love you when you were 90. I smiled, because I knew I would always love you. Yes, I said to you, I will.

We came to a fork in the road, and beside it there was a rest stop. We pulled in so I could use it, and I said I would be right back. When I came back out, you were gone. I looked around to see if you were just playing with me, but I finally realized, you were really gone. I waited and waited to see if you would come back, and I sat by myself and thought. I had many questions going through my mind, and many mixed emotions. I cried, I got angry, I tried to let go, but all I could think of was you looking at me and telling me you loved me. After a few days of not eating and hanging out at the rest stop, I decided to start again on my journey. I will never be the same, and throughout my travels I will always wonder if the road you took led you to where you wanted to go, but I have realized that for whatever reason we traveled together for the time we did, it taught me about life.

Today I am not angry, sad, or hold any ill will toward you. I know that the road you took had been calling you for some time, and you finally had to answer it. When I think of you, I will smile.

I am cruising with my top down, enjoying the ride, and I am happy. Today is another step on this road I am traveling, and I can't wait to see whats in store for me.

I needed to get away for a while
Recharge, rethink, renew
In silence I drove a good long while
Alone in my thoughts
Taking in the surroundings that blurred on by
I decide to listen to songs reflecting
restless hearts sleep alone tonight. sending all my love along the wire
Less than halfway to where I needed to be
Lost in melody that sings to the soul
No other thought contains me now
wondering where I am lost without you
I stop to stretch, fill the tank, fill the stomach
So far to go but so far from home
Alone
But not alone
My destination is clear
My heart knows the way
Being apart ain't easy on this love affair.
Two strangers learn to fall in love again. I get the joy of rediscovering you.......

Open Arms was "our song" back when we were together, when we were happy, when we were speaking. Nothing bad happened between us. She just changed and I just changed and we changed pointing towards different ends of the earth. But no matter what, no matter how much I wish for days gone by with her, I'll always have my Escape. I'll always have Open Arms.

OH my God a Woman Screams
Somebody help him she Screams

Darkness, feather-light
Ethereal, Into the Light

Down this dark tunnel I walk
Coldness surrounds my smock

The heat the pain
My clothes burned in the great fire
The devil stands in disdain
To dust I return to my pyre

The smooth sloping path lays ahead of me
I look back at the creviced, rock-laiden path I've just completed
The path ahead is illuminated by the rising sun
It looks easy enough, conidering what I've done to get here
Yet, I hesitate to step off the path that I've come from
Why?
I suppose its because danger lays in all forms and guises
Do I proceed?

Wet and Numb to outside life
birthed in blood as natures love
feeble child of bliss
crawl and toddle , blind to pain
Taller, faster , taste of strife
wonder at the sky above
finding joy in this
stumble aimless in the rain
Walk the blade of troubles knife
sense these hints of love
ripped apart by womans kiss
enough to make a man insane
Older, wiser, loving wife
Fits me like a glove
remember much but never miss
as open eyes have much to gain
for journeys end , begin again

Before it ever started, the mountain seemed too high
Good grades to get and piles of money to find
An experience in this world of learning other sides
First one year had passed, and then suddenly three
Where had all the time gone if the mind still feels empty
Soon the time will come to walk away with papers in hand
Words to say I've served my time and know some things
It's a journey never done since there's always more room
An engaged mind stays young, even if the hands grow old
