This man's heart.

Daily cries
of a once loving heart.
Daily sighs
a heart blown apart.
A love of grandeur it once knew
until its walls were broken, smashed in two.
This heart, once a partner
in sync and tune.
Their oasis of love is now a dune.
Its owner cries both day and night
in search of love that’s out of sight.
He just wants to be loved,
why can’t she see?
A daily ache, a daily plea.
Can’t she see the hurt that’s in his eyes?
The strength he shows is just a guise.
With every beat , his want to know how
he forced her to break their sacred vow.
He cries now as these words are laid,
his unknown debts he must have paid.
He agonizes, what he should have done,
to keep her love that she let run.
This man’s heart cries out in fear
that his soul has begun to disappear.
He knows no love that he once knew
For happy times are very few.
For 3 years now he knows the man
that holds her heart inside his hand.
His heart hurts so much, it loves so few
and wants his love to be anew.
The tears are flooding down his face as
he struggles to find his earthly place.
His two children, a girl and a boy
are his light, are his joy.
On those dreary days of sadness,
these two get him through her madness.
It breaks his heart to see her sad,
her expectations will drive her mad.
She wants control, it is a must.
She beats them down into the dust.
He wonders if he left this place
if a tear would tumble down her face.

Beautiful and sad. Talk to her. I know that doesn't sound easy, but women even if they appear distant often times want men to talk to them and to make the effort. If you let her know how you felt maybe even gave her the poem, then it would be up to her. and then you might find out whether or not she would cry if you left. Then again maybe if you leave her alone she might come talk to you, but maybe not. Not if you appear distant too. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Extending to us, through your words, the sorrow that is encompassing your heart is what this extended family is all about. Thank you for sharing.

Hold on to those babies. Let them be your world. Focus with all you have on the father within you. They need you here.

Your soul is who you are. It is your very existence. It will not dissapear on you...reach in there and pull YOU out. Each day brings a new beginning and with every breath things will get just a little easier. Tomorrow isn't such a bad place, when you let it be your goal.

Its a wonder that the people we love often don't give a damn about us...but i don't think there's anything that can change that. Thus the signature: "its not who loves you, but who you love."

Wow dude, thanks so much...you just put into words something I myself am going through now, My marriage looks like it will be ok though, I wish it could have gone that way for you too...it is such a struggle to go to sleep without visions of the two of them together, and a bigger struggle to wake up and face the day...nobody else knows, but it sure feels as if everyone is laughing. My thoughts go out to you.

Dude, that is awesome. It's sentimental, sad, angry, emotional. I know it must be painful to write about (I can honestly say that I've done a little sublimation for problems like these) but you've really shown your strength and courage by sharing this with all of us.

No, it is not too much to ask....marriage is a promise and promises are meant to be kept....if she needed to stray, she should have let you go first.

The other night I spilled my guts to my wife and I worked up enough nerve to let her read this. She read it twice and her only comment was " Can I go to bed now, I am not in the mood for a intellectual conversation?" It's been 3 days, still no response. Any ideas?
