Shadows
Each night holds mysteries waiting to be found
Each hiding place seeking to be searched Jumping at shadows in the night Fearing they are shadows from my past In the night my imagination flies Creating images that have haunted my dreams Yet they are not dreams They are my minds reflection upon past events Reoccuring nightmares that haunt my daily life Stirring memories from bigone days When night falls my only wish is for the sun For the sun burns away the shadows Bringing with it shadows of its own Branding my fragile mind with new events to ponder New shadows to chase in the midnight hours
