I wrote this a while back and just recently dug it out. It came shortly after I got married and followed it up a couple months later with a HUGE mistake. Luckily I haven't done that for quite a while. Too bad pain of that magnitude is the only stuff that inspires me to write.

Full of self hatred
I've done it again
Only this time
I brought a friend

I promised her happiness
I promised her bliss
What did I give her?
I brought her this

I brought her worry
I brought her pain
I've ruined her life
I've done it again

Such tastes of happiness
Found in her arms
And in return
I brought her harm

Why do I do this
Fill life with pain
Ruin, so common
I've done it again

I get a chance
To make things right
But turn it around
Turn day into night

The road to hell
Paved with good intent
I'm swimming with flippers
Made of cement

Kill the joy
Rape the pleasure
Sodomize love
Just for good measure

I love her so much
Want to do good
Maybe someday have
Our own little brood

But I can't keep
Away the pain
Look at me
I've done it again

Destined for failure
I can't succeed
Only from here out
It's not just me

Not alone in failure
I brought a friend
Down the road to ruin
I've done it again

Been a while sense I've read you work man. Glad you are still writing. but tell me, is this something I'm gonna have to beat you for Bro?
