One Life
 

One life is all there is for any of us
moving past the invisible
and those who don't try or care
we can see part of who we might be
so many choices
paths to follow and
bends in a road that doesn't seem to end
at times the light is dim and
the darkness overwhelms
only when one approaches it
can they live and be free
then no matter whether it is dark or light
the road will not seem to falter beneath your feet




Dance of Woman

feel the body sway
and the hips move from side to side
as the music swells
the arms rise
step right and then left
forward with touch-step and
shake of the hip
control of the body is demonstrated
with a slide of the rib cage from left to right
tighten the pelvis and
then shimmy the hips
dance the dance which
celebrates all that is woman!
