Distracted
 

Anger in the shallows
Distracting me from the beast
Who lies patiently in wait
For my fear to overcome me

Flail and reach out for nothing
I just didn't want to know
I'm running away, again
Into the warmth of numb

Struggling, kicking
Drowning, sinking
Dragged down by cement blocks
That I won't let go of

Frailty succumbing
The ocean falls on a crumbling cliff
Standing firm and strong
Rigid till no one's looking.

Everyone has two sides: the side they show, and the side they really are. Nice way of showing it.:)
