Naughty Just Right

Morning Liquid
Drip, drip, drip...a sound of morning.
The smell permeates the air, inviting me. Chin in hand, staring, through sleepy eyes, waiting for that last drop...plink, there it is! I slumber over and get a cup from the cupboard. Why didn't I have this ready? Still asleep I was. Cream, I need my cream. French Vanilla is my choice. Powder or liquid...it matters not, just have it. Pouring it in the cup, I can almost taste it...so close! Stirring the mix, watching the swirl, it is ready. I sit, elbows on table, both hands circling the cup, it's warming my hands, I raise it to my lips, and close my eyes. The hot liquid fills my mouth and runs down my throat. A swallow of adrenalin to start my day. I have my fix. Finally, the smile! It's going to be a good day.
