Online Banking - ING Direct

Does anyone have any experience with online banks such as IGN Direct? They offer an online savings account with 3.8% interest, much better than any brick-and-mortar place I've ever seen. Theyre FDIC insured (I checked the FDIC website too, not just taking for granted the little icon they have on their webpage) and I've seen lots of good reviews. And heck, that's a better rate than most CDs.

So what I'm wondering is, does anyone here have any experience with ING Direct or other such online banks? Any opinions/advice?

Not to start a second ING Direct thread but I'm wondering if you're looking for an answer specifically relating to ING or other banks?

Wow, dont know how I missed that, Bill. Thanks for the link.

Feelgood, I was wondering about ING first, others second. ING seems to have the best rates, and I've seen plenty of good reviews for it.

Guess the mods can close this if they feel like, unless anyone wants to add anything about other online banks...

I'd be happy to refer you and you get $25 for signing up. Just PM me your e-mail and I'll send you the link. I've been using it for about a year and already made about $390 in referrals and interest.
