anyone broken their finger more than once and still play basketball?

So in high school i dislocated/broke my pinky; not the first or the last ball and socket joint but the middle one like where it bends at. It healed and i played basketball again but this year in college ive dislocated it three times in about 7-8 months? Now when i play i play with my pinky and fourth finger taped. My question is has this happened to other people and if so are you able to play without tape and not have a huge risk of your finger dislocating? Did you have to do rehab/what kind? Because currently im afraid and do not feel that its safe to play without my pinky taped. thanks

Joints that are dislocated become weaker, thus are more prone to be dislocated again. Remember Mel Gibson in the Lethal Weapon series? How he dislocated his shoulder say... every five minutes?

You say that you've dislocated it 3-4 times already. It is time to be extremely careful or give up basketball.

I dislocated my thumb (where it is connected to the rest of the hand) playing a racquet sport (which sounds like a weird time to dislocate it, but I did). I stopped playing for a while. Even now, I am very careful with it. If it feels "loose" then i'll immediately take a break.
