Bunions
Ok, hope this doesn't gross anyone out. I have pretty bad bunions on both feet, my right being the worst. It's partially genetic, my mom has pretty bad ones too. However, the right one is getting pretty bad...my big toe is kind of "shifting" underneath my second toe. Basically, I'm looking for advice from anyone here who has had surgery on bunions. Did it work? Would you recommend it? I haven't talked to my doctor about this yet because I'm not sure if it's something I should just live with, or if the surgery really can help. Thanks!

I've had it and it worked great. My wife is an RN, she hooked me up with a sports medicine doctor. I wasn't ready to give up hiking or skiing. The top of my toe had very little feeling for nearly a year (important for skiing) since then, it's been 100%. Talk to a doc, I'm sorry I waited so long.

Thanks for the advice, Stan. I am making an appointment with my doctor tomorrow.

see a podiatrist! thats my best bet..he may recommend u get orthotics, and maybe it might straighten your toes.. i had problems with my collapsed arch in my foot, as well as my toe going under my 2nd toe..things have been fine for about 10 years now, orthotics did wonders!
