I will be traveling there in the month of May for G9...which is a huge car gathering....I have been before, and know some of the touristy stuff...but I would like some local reccomendations. sat. night we are going a fetish club..and fri possibly the laser light show at stone mountain...any suggestions?

What kinds of things are you looking for. I have not been to the laser show in almost 2 decades, so I have no idea what it is like these days.

Matt's Rib Shack is a hole in the wall with great BBQ ribs and live blues. I don't know where the best places to go drinking are anymore as I tend to do that when I am out of town. Buckhead is always a good place to start. The best high end steak place I have ever been to is Bone's.

yeah I have a suggestion!!! You'd better still be planning on seeing me and Dave :lol: If you're still coming when you said you were....on Friday night we are going to the Masquerade to watch a friends band kick off their North American Tour and you're welcome to join us.

atlanta is my town. here is what you need to know...

buckhead to party.
the highlands to relax and hang out.
the varsity off I-85/75 for some cheap good food.
otherwise just get on peachtree and take it north. dont go south of North Avenue after 8pm. Peachtree runs right though buckhead.
