Triceps Development
I have no problem putting on some muscle and can work up to fairly heavy weights. One thing I've noticed for years is that I can build my tris on the back side of the "v" quite well but have trouble with the outside muscle - you know, the one you actually can see.
I'm sure I am missing one kind of lift that would help. I already do dips, reverse bench press, closed grip, several cable motions including with a rope, single handle, double handle. Thoughts???? |
I don't know about cables. From what I have heard and from experience, gains are hard to come by when you use machines. For tri's I do:
Decline EZ Bar Tricep Extension Exercise Data Main Muscle Worked: Triceps Other Muscles Worked: None Equipment: Barbell Mechanics Type: Isolation http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/2002/deceztriext1s.jpg http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/2002/deceztriext2s.jpg Tips: Position yourself face up on an incline bench. Using an EZ bar, extend your arms until they are perpendicular to your torso. From this position, relax your triceps until your biceps make contact with your forearms. Reverse this action to return to the starting position, keeping your elbows stabilized (motionless) throughout the exercise. source:http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/exer...Muscle=Triceps |
