I suffer from anxiety. If you go to certain doctors, or some chiropractors, for a homeopathic remedy, they will have recommendations. I can't currently remember the name of it, but I was on a homeopathic remedy about 5 years ago and it was really awesome. Worked very well. If/when I find the name I will post it here.

Heroin.

But seriously. Hashish and some good music work wonders for me, maybe a really good book.

I think getting a decent amount of sleep is one important thing, along with exercise and good diet. If you are getting 3 good meals a day, 8 hours of sleep, and running 3 times a week it will do wonders for your perspective and happiness. I do believe that just general good feelings about stuff is one things that lowers anxiety..

I sure agree with both of these. Also, taking time off helps me. When I can't sleep, I read a book for a few minutes.

exercise .... nothing better

you can take all the supplements you want ... but without adequate physical conditioning you'll still feel like garbage.

you need mental help. you need to find out why you are having these attacks. then you can address the problem. You need to become aware why its happening when its happeneing, which should lesson the anxiety or completely stop it.

supplements will not fix the problem, they just make it seem like it goes away.

still, regular exercise has shown benefit to patients suffering from anxiety and depression - it even augments their response to antidepressant medication and is effective in ill-defined conditions like fibromyalgia.

Unfortumately, as in my case, this particular "treatment" was the original catalyst that caused my first panic attack. I don't know if it was the cause, but now, even after taking medications for years, it still sets me off.

if you used thc as a supplement to curb your anxiety its very likely that you now associate thc with anxiety.

Some stuff I found, but you may want to do more research on these. And make sure if you take niacin you take it on a full stomach, I don't think its actually bad for you, but it is unpleasant...

LECITHIN - a food supplement that is high in phosphatidyl choline. The body is able to make acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter, out of this. This has a sedating effect. It is interesting to note that one third of your brain, by dry weight, is lecithin. Feeding the organ what it is largely made of might help it to function better.

NIACIN - vitamin B-3 is so effective against actual psychoses that half of all mental ward inmates in the South were able to be released once a depression-era deficiency of this vitamin was corrected. Niacin in appropriate doses acts as a natural tranquilizer and induces relaxation or sleep. It is non-addictive, cheap, and safer than any pharmaceutical product. Dosage varies with condition. The best author on the subject is Abram Hoffer, M.D., whose experience dates back to the early 1950's. He routinely gave at least as much VITAMIN C as he did niacin.

B-COMPLEX VITAMINS also help even out your blood sugar. In addition, the metabolism of just about everything you digest hinges on one or more of this group of B-vitamins. Taken together, they are especially safe and effective. The body needs proportionally more niacin than the other B's, so extra niacin as mentioned above is still valid.

I think THC will cause anxiety in people who are anxiety prone. I know of people where pot chills them out, but I definitely also of people who have been made quite anxious by it (myself) - tho it is still fun : )

Try L-theanine. It's found in small doses in green tea but you can buy it as a supplement. It's cheap and has virtually no side effects. Let me know how it goes for you if you decide to try it.
