Need hemorrhoids advice
 

I've had them for ~10 years now. They aren't debilitating, just annoying. Does anybody know a cure for them? I don't mean relief, such as Preparation-H, but a way to get rid of them for good. I know surgery is an option. Has anybody out there gone through with it? How about medicine or herbal treatments?

I've had surgery. It was very uncomfortable, then it hurt for a couple of days, and it was fine after that. This was about 8 years ago. Totally worth it, I'd do it again.

I've had very minor flareups since then, but nothing like I had before (I was describing my problem to the Physician's Assistant, who was telling me "that's normal, lots of people get it, nothing to worry about", then he got a look at my ass and said "Oh. Let me get the doctor.").

Hey, 2 New Englander's with 'roids.....no wonder the rest of the US calls us pains-in-the-ass. :)

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to avoid surgery if I can, but at least I know it's worth it.
