Yeast Infection

My spouse has got a few yeast infections as of late. Seems as though they may be related to vibrator use. Could we not have throughly scrubbed it clean before use? or could lots of vibration cause issues. Now she is hesitant to put it inside and we have done outside stimulation to see if that helps.

What is proper care and usage of a vibrator?

depends on the material that the vibrator is made of. Is it the soft rubbery kind? They suggest that you not use antibacterial soaps on any of the soft kind as it reacts with the material and alters it somehow.

OR is the material latex?? If she has any mild latex allergy she could actually be reacting to the latex, then the reaction sets her up for an infection. I am mildly allergic to latex and didn't realize the condoms were bothering me until I noticed I got sore after using a condom containing latex.

Most of the time Dove dish soap or even body soap is quite mild and sufficient to wash the vibrator with. If you don't feel queesy about it you could just simply wash thoroughly in water. Make sure you rinse it thoroughly as well since part of the problem could be soap residue that irritates her vagina.

Last but not least - have you had a Dr diagnose these infections?? Often yeast can also be a co-infection with bacteria. Often Bacterial Vaginosis does not have many obvious symptoms. If you keep treating for yeast and do not get results it's VERY possible you may be treating the wrong thing. You cannot get a cream for the bacteria over the counter. They Dr has to prescribe that for your girl. My Dr actually gave me a refillable prescription since once I'd been diagnose correctly with BV I could self diagnose and self treat. Get it checked out by a professional. If you let BV go it can cause problems deeper inside with her reproductive organs. It's easy to treat. There are several different kinds of medications 1 day, 3 day and 7 day creams. There are also oral medications. I personally like the 3 day cream. It does the job right, fairly quickly and doesn't cause a lot of side effects. The 1 day cream irritates terribly and the oral medication gives me stomach irritation. The 7 day cream takes so long and doesn't seem more effective than the 3 but it is more mild so if she has sensitivities to chemicals and such it would be the less irritating route to take.

I wish you guys luck. A vibrator is probably not the problem. Clean and rinse it thoroughly and get the yeast checked out by a professional. I would bet it's more than just yeast.
