Where should we stay?

How should we get there? I'd rather not take a long ferry ride, but the plane tickets looked expensive.

Any other ideas for restaurants or activities. We are going there for 3 days for a friend's wedding.

The SJI are beautiful!!! The lodging there consists primarily of B&Bs, which are charming, friendly, and clean. Enjoy!

The ferry ride really isn't that long and it's very scenic. The only problem is the wait for the ferry itself (unless you're walking on).

There are plenty of outdoor activities around San Juan Island itself and especially Roche Harbor. Go whalewatching, kayaking, fishing, hiking, etc. I'd also recommend hopping over to Orcas Island if possible--it's also very beautiful.
