Colon Cleanliness?? - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I've recently been hearing an increased amount of supplements and such that are designed to remove 'muccoid plaque' from the colon.

Has anyone had experience with colon cleansing, colonics or fiber/liquid fasts?

If so, what were your results?

It's called fiber. You can find it many veggies and whole grains.

Colonics seem to be the Hollywood treatment of the week -- long term health effects? I doubt there are any,

i took the leap and looked at the pics... they just look like big black lumpy pieces of poop....

and yah i dont have anything else constructive to ad...

for somereason it reminds me of the cowboy bebop episode toys in the attic...

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if colonics have NEGATIVE long term effects, much like the anti-bacterial soap craze. The human body NEEDS a certain degree of different bacterias and, just like anti-bacterial soaps, I'd be willing to bet colonics has a negative effect on this.

Like someone said above, just eat fiber. Humans have survived for millions of years without colonics and colon cleansing supplements. They ate then too. I'm sure that eating healthy can provide the same desired health effects, without any less natural side-effects.

Had a coach that tried it.

He says that you need to take it, and not plan anything for the day, because when it comes it comes. He said it stank to high heaven, and it was sticky as tar. Also that it made him lose 15lbs. Afterwards he said he felt great, lighter and cleaner. Never tried it myself though.
