Credit Card Rankings
Anyone know of a good site out there that ranks credit cards according to a list of criteria?
I guess I'm looking for a Consumer Reports for credit cards. |
Credit cards??? CUT THEM UP!
If you have to use them try these links for some good information: http://www.bankrate.com/brm/search/s...edit-cards.asp http://www.bankrate.com/brm/rate/cc_home.asp?link=5 Hope this helps! ;) |
I wouldn't use a credit card ever again. We got rid of ours a year ago. We've not run into a situation where a debit card wouldn't do the trick or for internet stuff - pay pal works great too.
If I traveled much I would probably get an American Express where I would pay off the balance every month. Also check this out http://www.consumerreports.org/main/...=1086465093515 |
i do not recomend citibank. they dont allow disputes for fraudulent transactions that are 100 miles away from your home. so if someone steals your credit card, and uses it in another city, you will be responsible for paying. this hapend to me. someone used my credit card in another country and i ended up having to pay for it. citibank wouldnt even allow for a dispute.

I happen of have had one of Citibank's since college, and I had a good experience when something went wrong. I shared my experience. So, in other words, before you call me a liar, know what the fuck you're talking about. Otherwise, I'm going to call you moron in public. So congratulations, you're a moron. Go troll somewhere else. |

Are Citibank credit cards through Visa? If so, you have 100% fraud protection..... As far as recommending a credit card, they are all very similar. American Express makes you pay it off in full at the end of each month. The rest usually make you pay a minimum payment on the balance. I love credit cards. Gets you out of baaaad situations. Just don't run a balance; have the discipline to not spend more than you have (or will have in the near future). |

I would love to see that written somewhere in their terms and conditions. I can't seem to locate it on ANY of my documents, nor on their website. I guess when the underpaid telephone person said to you, "No we don't cover it." "No we don't have any methods for disputing transactions." You just believed them. Did you take it up wards to managers, supervisors, customer service and fraud protection departments? Did you contact your State Attorney General? Did you file a police report? Did you write any letters to your local representatives? No? You just paid the bill? Or did you default on it? All credit card companies have terms and conditions for disputing charges. I'd side with the fact that you were too lazy to bother writing letters and making phone calls, since you can't capitalize, use apostrophes, don't use spell check, or have any kind of coherent grammar. Congratulations, you're a winner! /threadjack I'd have to suggest going with what bank does the most for you and which loyalty program makes sense for you. Having a Chase Shell Card does nothing for you if you don't have a car to redeem it for gas, but if you travel you may use it to pay for your gas in the rental car. Take some time to think about your needs and which institution fulfills it. |

In short: what you said here is pure crap. |

Debit cards do not have the same liability protection. From the Federal Trade Commission: Quote:
You should make yourself aware of your rights to dispute credit card charges: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/fcb.htm |
