Looking for new haircut ideas...

I'm sick of my long hair. It's getting on my nerves. I'm looking for a cool new haircut kind of deal that isn't too short, but isn't long, either. I'd prefer to cut the sides and back and leave the front pretty long.

I've been trying to search the net for some ideas, but I always end up with crap.

So, if anyone has a picture of a cool haircut, link my sorry ass up. Thanks.

straight, wavy, or curly? color?

I generally prefer short hair, but consider perhaps a Johnny Depp-style cut if it would work with your hair type?

Shorter back and sides, long bangs cut into a "V" shape... looks kinda neat, I had that haircut a long, long time ago (but, I'm a guy, so I guess it depends on how short you wanna go)

Ivillage has quite a few hairstyles ideas.

I'm disatisfied with my hairstyle right now. I went and got a couple of hairstyle magazines. I've got a pretty good idea of what I want. Then I can take the pic to my stylist when I go for my next cut.

Most of what I found on the net seemed so outdated. Getting the magazines helps you find more up to date styles.

I see no posts in the Ladies Lounge, and the posting style is relatively ambiguous, but leaning towards male if I had to guess?

male cut? I have long bangs on the right side of my head... No idea what it's called, but it looks cool, and different than the 500 000 ceaser style cuts around my city.
