exercise logbook

hey,
i'm trying to make myself a logbook for exercise... but i'm having trouble coming up with anything i like that works well, and havent' been able to really find anything to buy at the bookstore... if it's one that i make, i'd like for it to be something that's more than just printed out, but can be bound.

so, what do you use? can you suggest anything?

When I started logging things, I used a marbled notebook. I just put everything on excel now, and can access it anywhere on the internet.

If you were into the internet thing, you can log stuff into fitday.com, but it doesn't allow for much specification (it's more for your food intake than exercise logging), but I found it to be a helpful rescource. Actually, right now I use a wallpaper calendar for exercise logging, as well as school assignments and such. It's called WallCal3 if you want to google it.

i checked wallcal3 out, it's pretty sweet, thanks for the tip. not what i need for a log, but for an everyday calender probably the best thing there is for me.

i think i'm gonna screw around with excel until i get something i like and then get it bound.

I just use a regular notebook. Simple and tidy unless you writing isnt the best. Excercise, and Reps x Weight

Squat
10x145 8x235 8x235 6x315 etc etc

Do you guys record any other things? Thats about all I do.

If i ever made a logbook i would go with simple pencil & paper. Mostly because i like to vary my workout a lot. If i print something up then I am somewhat bound into what i should be doing for that muscle group on that particular day.

sometimes i want to use a bench, sometimes dumbells, sometimes something totally different. Thats my main hesitation in using anything other than good old fashioned pencil & paper.

I just make my own in Excel and then print a booklet off. I've got an advantage because I work for a printing company, but you can find other ways to bind it together. Paper clamps, rings, etc.
