I have the best job I've ever had
Im only teaching because i dont speak the language over here.
I get paid loads.
I work 4 days a week.
My job is neither difficult or physical.
I have really good students, some are very entertaining people with diverse ideas & opinions.

But:

Every day when I take out my piercings & put on my tie & my smile I feel like an imposter.
I put alot of effort into preparing classes & finding student specific material but this is not me.
The person I project infront of my students is not me, I am an introvert - I always have been & Im happy to be like this. Im told Im a deep thinker (whatever that means). I have close (& not so close) friends who 'get' me & usually I can tell within 10 seconds if a person will 'get' me. With the students thats not possible, I have to be this happy chirpy shithead most of the time.

This is why even though I dont do physical work or slave infront of a pooter all day when I get back from work Im exhausted.

I need a new job.

hah, my job is sweet. I can eat, boss people around, take whenever off, get paid decently, watch pretty women go by all day long, and its 3 minutes from my house. Nope I like it to much.

Yeah my job sucks. I'm paid okay for my job description, but underpaid for wha tI actually do.

I work for a man who is ethically challenged.

I drive to work every day and think...if I get in a bad accident I won't have to go in...

my job is pretty cool but i only started 3 weeks ago. so far so good but if this thread manages to stay up i'll be glad to update. there are lots of hotties in the building and thats a huge plus, the people are very cool and not to mention its a fortune 100 company so i really can't complain!

Ideal Job:Pro Puppy petter

Last week was my first at a new job. I'm sure hoping this one lasts. I was a victim of the dot-com boomb/bust on a job 5 years back along with 450 others when the 'bust' happened and the company disappeared along witht he value of my stock shares.

I was laid off last year at another job due to the IT slowdown. I'm sure that all of this sounds familiar to some others on the tfp.

I 'went legit' on this newest job which means it doesn't involve (directly at least) IT work. I'm still feeling jaded however.

I have no job, bitten by the dot-bomb and then the it slowdown as well.. How sad :(

i got the perfect job it involves lounging about until someone calls and says that something is broke and they cant fix it so i come over and fix it and a broken wallet got i love odd jobs but just incase stay in school

Well if a lot of people hate their jobs and want new ones, maybe we could try swapping with each other.

So, is there anybody here making 6 figures who hates their job? I'll trade you. :D
