Help buying a friend inline skates
So a friend of mine wants me teach her inline skating. I of course demand that she buy a decent pair of inline skates. I was thinking of k2's Spire XP or Skye SL. I bought my Mod 10 years ago and I never followed the the equipment very closely so I have no idea where the good deals are at. Suggestions on skates are welcome.
I also don't know of any store in the area that specializes in inline skates. Anyone know? [EDIT]Er... ;-) Boston actually she lives in boston where I do the whole college thing. I actually bought my Mod 10's at Greg's and I have been fitting them every few months or so for the past 3 years.[/EDIT] |
You are in seattle same as me, so the answer is easy.
http://www.greggscycles.com Go to Greg's on Green Lake. They are the PREIMERE skate shop in the Seattle area. Lots of professionals and world record holding speed skaters buy their gear there. They know their stuff. http://www.laterskater.com/ Also, consider the drive out to bellevue to learn from some really amazing skating instructors. The advantage to this is your friend can take a super cheap beginner lesson with rental skates in a very safe rink environment. Might be nice before shelling out the $$ for a pair of skates. |
Go cheap mate, hit up a play it again sports. I bought my backyard bobs there and they work great. also I dont feel bad for not using them as much as I should because I paid only fifty bucks for them as opposed to the two hundred I could have spent.

The Bont shark's can be bought as a package for CHEAP well cheap compared to what I paid for my boots alone.
