How long do you spend in the shower?
 

10 minutes tops for me. I can't understand how some people can spend up to a half hour to two hours in the shower (yes I had a friend who did that). How long do you spend in the shower?

bout 10 minutes, just wash myself and maybe stand around for a minute if I dont wanna get out cause its cold.

I'm in there for about half-an-hour. Washing itself takes about 10 minutes.

I find the warm water and white noise really relaxing and I like to stand and think or meditate while I'm in there. Wasteful, yes, but some of my best ideas are a result of standing around in the shower...

I am a fast but often type. The time stamps in Irc channels show that I usually get 3 to 5 min showers (with shampoo, no balsam) when I just to feel freshened up before going out or to bed. I also put make-up on routinely in under 5 mins and it's bf who's still oggling at the mirror when we should be running already.

Then it's alltogether different thing if I am at the gym (10) or really relaxing (20) or having a sauna with SO or friends (an hour for sauna, showering, going outside to cool and drink, back to sauna, then shower and out).

Minimum of 10 minutes it seems.

10 mins of washing, 10 mins or relaxing, 5-10 mins of washing again to make sure I get everything. So about 25-30 mins.

Im with the majority. I couldn't stay in there for more than 10 minutes. The bath on the other hand is a different matter. I can stay in there for a good half hour or so especially if I am having a spliff or some aromatherapy candles. :lol:

if i have a reason to take a fast one ill do it in 5-10 minutes... but usually ill spend more time and take 20-30 minute ones...

10-15 minutes at least, just to enjoy myself. if i really need to get going somewhere quickly, i can be in and out in 2 minutes. i much prefer to take my time however, as i'm sure most people do.

I can spend a long time in the shower though...its relaxing, and I also use a shampoo that I gotta leave in my scalp because I got flakes and shit.

About 10 minutes, 15 if I'm cold and need more hot water to wake me up. And about 5 minutes if I hit the snooze button too many times.

Which during the week is about 5 minutes. During the weekends... let's just say I'm waiting for the day I fall asleep standing up. :)

Generally about 5-10 minutes is my daily routine.

I usually take showers at night, so I'm dead tired when I take them. I've dozed off on occasion. I try to limit my shower to 20 minutes or so.

Usually between 7-10 minutes, sometimes a little longer if I'm shaving, and always first thing in the morning otherwise I'll never wake up.

10 minutes sounds like the norm here...so I guess I fit in, its about time. Just get clean and get out, is my motto.

Unless my wife joins me then I have to wait for her to finish and I have to stand in the corner without any water on me and that is really cold...

its like the only place where i can block out the distractions (the sound of water blocks everything out)

i'm the usual 10 minutes but sometimes just anjoy the hot water and shower massage for a few minutes.

I take about half an hour, myself, but I have really thick and long hair that takes a while to wash and condition. The rest of the time I kind of phase out, since I just like the shower.

I used to take a half hour to an hour. After experiencing the wonders of the dorm shower, I am now down to 10 minutes max.

7-10 minutes, depends on how dirty or what kind of a hurry I'm in. Sometimes I'll purposely take longer showers, other times it's almost like I didn't take one at all...

20 minutes seems about right for me. The shower is such a relaxing place. Contrary to Finchie (two posts up), I spent more time in dorm showers since I didn't have to pay for the water.

i would think about 20 to 25 minutes average but it can take more

5-10 for me. 1/2 hour or more for the wife.

somehow I always end up taking a half-hour shower every morning. I'm not sure why it takes that long, it just does. I also have this weird obsession with shaving my legs almost every day, which takes most of the time. I get what needs to be done, done...

Yea it depends for me to. 10 Minutes for tuesday and thursday's. I say around 20 for Monday Wensday and Friday's. And somewhere inbetween on weekends.

The longer times = shaving.

In the dorms, it's about three minutes max because I'm afraid I'll touch the floor or the walls...

It depends if I have time or am cold. If I have time ill spend 12-15. If I don't have time I have managed to wash and condition my hair and be out in under 90 seconds.

25 minutes. I shave in there. No matter what I shave, it always takes the same amount of time...

If I'm wide awake, I'm out in under 10 minutes easily... but if I'm sleepy from just waking up or after a long day of work, I end up in there for like 30 mins just rotating like a warm rotissery chicken :crazy:

I take 30 minute showers.. or 7 minute showers. The short one for when i'm in a hurry.. They're just very relaxing.. I take extremely hot showers...

I usually take about 30 mins and often fall asleep and then the hot water runs out. Then you will never see me move faster to wash in about thirty seconds to try and get out of the cold water, especially after my skin is burning hot.

Growing up my father used to make me take military showers. They are.... Turn water on enough to get wet and turn it off. Step 2 soap up with water off. step 3 rinse. and your done..... It took about 5 minutes. I could not stand it.. Go cold very quickly! Now I take normal shower at 10 to 15 minutes

Ouch, that is rough bro. Taking showers as a kid were bad enough, let alone having to do it in this manner :(.

15 minutes. My friends think im obsessive compulsive when it comes to showering because I go thru shower soap faster than anyone else i know(usually 1 bar every 3-4 days). I just like being clean!

I take two showers a day at 15 mins a piece... my roomates don't like that I drive the water bill up but they haven't asked me to pay extra :)

if i have time (and i usually bath when i do, i.e. not in the morning before i have to be somewhere, but the night before) then ill often take a 10-15 minute shower and then a nice long bath.

i like warm water. so does my skin.

• The colder it is, longer I stay
• If my gf is in with me, the longer I stay

After that, my average is usually no more than 15 minutes.

Uber-quick only happened once, and I don't like it. I feel like I'm obsessive-compulsive because I need the 20mins to get fully cleaned.

I'll usually spend about 15-45 mins... if I'm upset though and need a place to relax and get away from the world... the shower is the BEST damn place.. its just sooo relaxing... I'll lay down in the tub and just let the water splatter all over me for like 2 hours if I need it... I've only done that a few times in the last 3 years... but yeah... if I'm just taking a shower bout 15-45 mins or so... depending if I'm in a rush or not... I just love the water...

I shower at night, and if I really want to go to bed I can shave the time down to about three minutes. (HAHA GET IT? SHAVE.)

About 15mins I guess, 10 if I'm in a hurry, 5 if in a massive hurry, up to 30-40 when I'm warming up and relaxing after a freeeeeeeeeezing cold surf.

Depends what im showering for. In the morning if i have school or work i take 10 minute showers wash the hair the body and im out . If im getting ready to go out it takes me more like 30 minutes to 45 minutes.

ooh...I like that idea. I love taking showers with my husband, but he hates that one of us is always half out (or completely out) of the water range.

In a normal setting, maybe 10-15 minutes. But now I live in a dorm, so I'm in and out. When I was about 7 or 8 I used to take pride in my fast showers and was once timed at under 2 minutes!

Normally I take a 12-15 minute shower. However, sometimes I take 20-30 minute showers, depending on what I'm doing and how I'm feeling. Just sitting in a hot shower can feel so nice.

After a long night of drinkin though, I like to take a long nap in the shower, so that can be 20 minutes or more.

Usually about 5-10 minutes. Sometimes, though, if I am taking the shower to calm down, or drain my sinusses, or just zone out, I can be up to 30 minutes, or until the hot water runs out, whichever comes first. :)

I spend about 15 minutes but I'd definitely stay longer if time permitted. On weekends I usually go a little longer on the weekends until my need for coffee gets me motivated to get out :D

normally 15-20 minutes cuz i lather my shampoo up twice, use a bit of conditioner, rinse & then rinse my hair again in cold water; i shave my pits & legs; use a brush on my toenails & pumice stone on my feet; sometimes i use the net puffy thing to get rid of flakey dead skin & sometimes grain scrub or an exfoliating sponge on my face. after the shower (additional time) i put lotion on my face & another all over my body, then dress & do make-up & hair. the whole process can take up to an hour cuz i kinda dilly dally, but when i need to i can be completely done in a total of 35-45 minutes.

I spend about 15 minutes, unless i have nothing else to do, then i stand around and just relax. . . hey water is free in my apt complex!
