Zits after shaving
I shave maybe twice every week or so and a few days after i shave i usually get zits that dont go away for a while. it's very annoying. i use acne cream regularly even when i dont need it, wash my face with mosturizing soap, i use a deep pore cleanser and also expensive aftershave. any idea why i may be getting these zits and how to prevent them?

I had a problem like that once. It went away when I ditched the special soaps, acne creams, etc. I use a small amount of regular soap to keep my face clean, and when I shave I use shaving cream. Besides that, nothing goes on my face, and for me there's been a big improvement.
I also used to try to get a really close shave -- I don't do that anymore and that's helped too. Of course, I don't know if these things will work for you or make things worse. Might be worth trying though. |

Also, when you shave, you may be making it rather difficult for ingrown hairs to free themselves. So, perhaps, you aren' getting regular pimples, but pimples arising from slivers of hair caught in your pores. When I want a smooth shave, I find it works best to use an electric shaver the day before and then a straight razor the day I want the clean face.
