ehm, dandruff ?
hi all, i got an odd problem with dandruff (i think ?), i'm 21 and i use "wax" products for my hair but shower it out each night.
last 3 months i've had alot of white stuff in my hair, which i first thought was like old wax or something, but it's also started to get to my eyebrows.. also about the same time i started to get really dry skin, specially around my ears, and high up on my forhead just before the hair starts.. thankfull for any kind of tips on how to get rid of this :( |
Try different hair care products. A lot of stuff just makes my natural dandruff problem worse.
Also try a shampoo like Nuetrogena's daily dandruff shampoo. Works good. |
Pantene Danruff 2 in 1 works for me. Or if you like that tingly feeling, Head and Shoulders Refresh is nifty. Take shorter, cooler showers and invest in a good moisturizer (for face, body, and hair). If that does work, see a dermatologist.

I use Head and Shoulders, but with the dry skin it might be something more than dandruff. I get dry skin in the fall when the weather starts getting cool. If the weather is taking any extreme changes that might be affecting your skin (eyes, forehead, eyebrows)...then again you might just be getting old!!!!

Yeah, just try a dandruff shampoo. I had some a while ago, and after a few weeks, it was all gone.

Denorex works wonders for psoriasis, dandruff and other dermal/scalp problems. Hubby's Dr prescribed it for him even. It can be expenseive but does not have to be used daily to be effective. Neutrogenia is a fairly effective choice and not quite so expensive. The cheapest choice would be to rinse with apple cider vinigar after washing each day. If you hate the smell use some light conditioner after washing. For some people dandruff can be a result of dry skin and conditioner will help keep things more moist anyway. I and other family members have gone the vinigar method and gotten good results. Just keep trying different things until you find something that helps. There are also creams and things that work well. If nothing seems to help go see your Dr or Dermatologist and they can give you help too. One thing to think about - Hubby's dandruff was caused by Folliculitis, begun when he was in the hospital and got Staphlicoccus. Antibiotics helped his problem. See a Dr for that though.
