GMAT/Graduate school
I'm considering going back to school to get my MBA.
My grades in college weren't bad, but weren't great either. I have a BA in Marketing. I think I graduated with a 2.8. Or maybe it was a 2.6, not sure. How hard is the GMAT? What's involved? I'm really putting the cart before the horse here anyway. At my job they reimburse tuition if you're a full time employee and you get at least a C in the course. I'm not currently full time (well, I am but that's a longer story) but I'm applying for a different job within the company that is full time. So if I get that job I may go back to school. How much over my head would I be if I worked full time and took 2 classes a semester? Am I insane? Advice please!!!

The only real advice I can give on this would be; check out your local library they probably have plenty of study books on the GMAT. I'm not sure how similar the GMAT is to the GRE (I've been studying for the GRE) but they have classes you can take to help your score. Kaplan does a lot of good test reviews.
As far as the working full time and taking 2 classes, I don't think you would be over your head. A lot of it depends on if you can schedule your classes around your work load. I have a roommate working full time and taking 3 classes. He has some sleepless nights, but if you are willing to put your nose to the grind stone for a while, you will do fine.

based on what my friend told me (he has taken both the gre and gmat), the gmat is the harder of the two. but how hard that really is, i don't know.
if you're good at getting things done and structuring your time, then you'll have nothing to worry about. you'll do fine. just make sure if your working and taking classes, you find some "you" time to relax. |

I don't know if you can take a strictly MBA(atleast from a major university) part time. They usually are completed between 15 - 20 months. There are some "Executive MBA" programs that cater to people who are working full time, you may want to look into that.
