$2000 can get you pretty far in Mexico, but I would recommend a cruise. You can get a really nice cruise for under $500

Where in Mexico and doing what things?

Just south of Cancun is a place called Playa Del Carmen. Not too too touristy yet, still on the Caribean side and you could do an all inclusive. That is if you like to drink.

Head up to BC and enjoy spending your high valued cash. It's not as warm as Mexico, but I'm sure you could have fun.

I would say BC as well, but being in Seattle you have probably been to BC a few times already, but Vancouver and Victoria would be a great vacation for one week and $2000.

I would suggest a Cruise going down from Seattle towards Mexico.

$2000 you would be set for a nice 5 day cruise with a good amount of money to spend in the casino on hte boat and the day treks.

depending on when you want to go, you should be able to get some decent deals for 2K. Cruises are a good bet. Between now and Thanksgiving, Mexico or the Caribbean are also good bets.

If you want to try something a bit more exotic, you can try a package with Hong Kong and/or Thailand. I have been there and had an amazing time!

Drive to Flagstaff, AZ, give me $2000, and I'll give you the keys to my dorm room. It has a sink, cable TV, a small fridge with water, ketchup, mustard, and stale bagels stuck to the bottom of it. This beautiful quaintly decorated 11'x11' room also comes with high speed internet and a toaster that can support bagel sized objects.

You will have to pay for a parking pass from the school and you will need to bring your own linens.

Seriously, I would do a roadtrip across Canada. All that foliage and maple syrup would entice me enough to rent a car for a week and head out through BC.
