I was thinking Chicago. I haven't been up there in a summer. Plus, it would be an excuse to see a concert. |
dammit yzer, you beat me to the punch by about 30 seconds

i'm going to the kitchen. so i travel to the living room, turn a sharp left, go straight a bit then make a wide curve to the right.
then just reverse (which i could actually do) hm |
We're planning on a trip to the Grand Canyon and the Painted Desert this October.

Southeast Asia.

I'll second S.E. (Ko Samui Thailand). My second choice would be Spain again.

i'd say north thailand (chaing mai area) with a few days @ the beach in the end.
or try the beach of Ecuador (motaņita is quite popular with backpackercrowd these days. so visit it before its to late) for great waves , try mancora in Peru. for relaxing try Baņos & Vilcabamba in Ecuador. Or Chill out in scandinavia. :-) |
Ireland !

Steven.
go to Africa. more specifically, start in Kenya and Tanzania, then head south down through Zambia, Botswana, (maybe even Namibia) and right down to Cape Town. go out on the safari in Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro (this is the real garden of Eden). and then check out Kilimanjaro. then get out to Zanzibar (the most incredible place on earth). get down to Vic Falls in Zim (but go through Zambia - its nicer). then in the Okavango in Botswana. once you´ve had your fill there, travel south through the Kalahari, down to Jo´Berg, and on to Cape Town. (or, if you really want to see something special, forget Jo´Berg and head over the Skeleton Coast of Namibia, (where the desert kisses the Atlantic) then travel south down through the Namib Desert through to Cape Town.) that should be a fine adventure. **edit - you may find it preferable to time your safari in the Masai and Serengeti during the great gnu migration... spectacular. |
