I'm Moving:

I wasn't sure whether or not I hsould post this here or in the sexuality forum. ::Shrug::

Okay, first time posting about this sort of thing, so let me give some background to the whole situation.

I've been completely single for the past two months. For the previous three months, my ex-g/f and I dated and messed around together out of convenience. Three months prior, we'd been seperated, and she had moved out of our apartment. Prior, we'd been together for two years.

Over the course of the three months that we were seperated, I became friends with her old roommate. I always thought her roommate was attractive, and have always enjoyed conversation with her. We get along well, but I have ever persued this gal.

However, In expenses of my own, expenses of her own, and expenses of her existing roommates (my xg/f's friend I've become friends with), we're talking about getting a place together, with two of her flatmates.

I'm just curious if anyone has ever moved in with someone they were attracted to and have not been in a relationship with them? How did it turn out in the end? Did you ever get drunk together and spend the night in the same room (not doing anything physically necessarily).

Any advice, I appreciate it.

I have been down this road, and let me tell you, it can go A. really really well or B. Become the worst nightmare ever.

For me it went well. Long story short, i was madly, but silently in love with her, and she just had no idea. After being roommates for 4-5 months, we both were home on a Saturday night (rare for us) so we orderd Chinese and had alot of Vodka. We, of course hooked up, and it lasted almost 5 years. But it could have gone bad several times early on. You know, before we made it past the first few times together and all the other stuff going on already in our lives, but we did it!. So good luck, anmd sorry for the long winded tale!

I would suggest holding tight -- a friend of mine just moved with someone he was attracted to, it didn;t work out and he is now stuck in a city where he knows noone working at a job worse than the one he had.

A friend of mine gave me a good piece of advice the other day: "no boinking the roommates".

If you luck out, like the poster above did, it'll go well. If not, the situation can become miserable very quickly. Even more so if you have a lease of some sort. I suppose it's all about how much you're willing to risk.

she's a friend fo mine. i find her attractive. Thats about it.

::shrug::

its not very far away from where I already live.

I think the one thing I just have to keep control of is jealousy. If she ever has a guy over, i'll have to know I cannot be jealous. y'know?
