So I just turned 30....
Happy birthday to me.
In the days leading up to this monumental moment I couldn't help but think to myself "wow I'm really freakin' old." However, now that the time has come, my feelings are completely opposite. I fell re-energized. The first thought that entered my mind was "out with the old and in with the new." Why let an imaginary number bring me down? I can easily let it bring me up and take me higher. So I've decided to start documenting my life via a new blog that is in the works called "Life after 30." Really it should be "Life at 30," but semantics... Anyways, so as I plot and plan out my new adventures, I'd like to solicit some ideas and suggestions of things to do in my new found youth! |
When I graduated from college and got a job, I asked myself what I wanted to do as a boy and a teen that I couldn't then, but could as a 22 year old with a career. The first thing I did was buy a ridiculous import tuner car; mid-90s Eclipse, bright orange, lowered, rims, turbo-charged with a blow-off valve. It was more ostentatious than Elton John's glasses, but it was a blast. It only cost a few grand and it was pretty easy to modify. It was the car I wanted in high school.
I'm not saying you should go out and buy a rice cooker, but maybe consider what you couldn't do before and can now. We've all got an inner child and they're a lot of fun to indulge. |
I hear ya. I went on a little shopping binge today. Got myself a new Hugo Boss suit and some D&G oxfords. It felt great not having to worry about what the price tag was.
Maybe it's time to travel some... |
How's the online dating thing going by the way?
