What's the best way to clean your dirty shoes???
 

Hey there...I had to work in the yard a few days ago and my white shoes are all dirty...it's not all white tho...it's grey, silver, navy blue...that stuff...so I was wondering...what's the best way to clean it all off so that my shoes look like new again??? I once saw something that only used two ingrediants but I can't remember what they were...anyone know of a good fast way to make my shoes look like new??? THANX

If so i throw them in the wash machine (taken laces out) and use the regular ammount of soap for a small load.

nope...that doesn't get the stuff that's staind in there...the seep stuff...I want it to look like new again...anyone else???

I use spray 'n wash when regular degergent doesn't work. I, too, am a little anal about my stupid white running shoes :)

Goo Gone is a really good cleaner, takes almost anything off.

Just don't get white tennis shoes.....I always thought they were for pedofiles anyways. Just kidding. That oxy clean stuff gets stains out real good.... but I don't think you're shoes have a chance of getting back to normal. If you find something that works...please let us know.

buy a new pair of shoes... that should do it.

I use Oxy Clean. Don't dunk a pair of shoes in it though or the traction on the bottom is gone for good. I learned that lesson.

Just wipe the dirty spots.

Dude, basically the only tennis shoes I wear are white K-Swiss's, and they get dirty really easy. But I can ressurrect them. Buy a toothbrush or use an old one, and dip it in bleach, and scrub the HELL out of em. It's tedious stuff, no doubt, but it always gets em clean for me.

Also, you said your shoes have color in them, so be very careful, which goes without saying.

For white shoes, ive had good experiences with softscrub with bleach, it was the only thing I had to clean mine once. It might tear them up a little if they're new, but it works for the soles though.

ok ppl...washing machine didn't work...Oxy Clean worked on other stuff until it started STAINING stuff...yeah...it screwed up some of our stufff...like on some clothing and carpets it made the color fade...so we tossed it all...Goo Gone is a good idea...I actually had some in y room...until the stuff EVAPORATED right out of the CLOSED bottle...DOH!!!...bleach???? WTF...these are reguylar Nike Tennis shoes...not plain white shoes ppl....use a toothbrush and bleach you say??? hmmmm....maybe...but knowing me I'll screw it up and end up white outting my whole shoe...lol...any other ideas ppl??? common household cleaning items are vinegar...baking soda...and that's all i know of...but the professional stuff would do much better i'd think

put the shoes into a pillow case, tie the pillow case near the top and then throw it in the regular wash cycle, it usually works.

Ask any parent, baby wipes get almost anything out. My Step kids use on their shoes all the time.

There's another cleaner called Krud Kutter, that will take anything off.

just use rubbing alcohol. it works on my shoes and they are white blue black and red. i had grann stains and paint on them and it came off with rubbing alcohol. hope this helps you out a little better than bleach

I've always used Permatex DL Hand Cleaner.

Second vote for baby wipes. I've used them on my Nikes before now and the results are magical.

I think the everyday item you are thinking about is a mixture of some sort of citric acid(lemon or grapefruit juice), along with another sanitizing ingredient, such as alcohol, baking soda, and the like. Hope it helps.

For what it's worth, I own white tennis shoes and I am too lazy to clean them at all, and I somewhat like the gruff appeal of shoes that look lie they've gotten around.

I'll try some the afore-mentioned items and report back on any significant gains.

I use this "KIWI" sport heavy duty shoe cleaner...works good!!! works on any color and doesn't change any color...hah! u just shake it open it and press it hard on the shoe n it shoots out some cleanin shit and u scrub the shoe with it then wipe off the liquid with a towel n let it dry makes my shoes look brand new!

For my leather shoes (got a lot of those, dang!) I use KIWI shoe polish.

For sports shoes and tennis shoes they all go into the washer and drier. :)
