I used to frequent bars all the time with my friends, and drank only water. I never liked to meet men in bars though.
I met most of my men at interesting events. The current on I met at a footrace called Bay to Breakers. Check out local events and other places of interest. Don't think about it too much or too hard, things happen when you least expect them to. |

Anyways, thanks for the replies guys and gals, even the ones that laughed at me for my warehouse-stand :p. I'm learning, I'm learning. Very motivational words though, I know, I need more self-confidence, and I need to find happiness outside of a relationship. But I also feel that being in "this" town is also the problem too; there are just not that many choices of people my age as most all go off to main the colleges or military. It's very true, you can ask anyone that's lived here and they will tell you that there are just not that many people that are aged 20-35 here. As far as local events, I actually looked that up this morning on several websites based on my town, and all the town events are just, focused at older adults and the elderly. There are no walkathons or beach cleanups or music festivals or anything like that, which makes sense. I will try going to the library over the weekend; I have a mid-term to study for anyways, but I can check out the peeps there too. Although, you can't really talk without getting "shushed", so, I dunno. Or maybe I'll study at the mall, or the bookstore. As a side note, I've been contemplating on moving an hour and a half south of here to a different town/city, to kind of start a new life, while not quitting school (the main campus is located there). I might apply to the Best Buy there this weekend, online. It will force me to interact with customers and my co-workers, which right now I work for my family, and 90% of our customers are over 50 (Fact), the other 10% are 40-50. And, I will be forced to have a roommate, who might be cool and maybe I will make a friend. Plus, the school is the main campus, so there is a lot more people there, as opposed to the extremely tiny campus I go to. Money will be tight though, and I will have to take out loans (My goal was to finish school without having having to take out any loans, but this would prevent that from happening). But so far, it sounds like it's best choice for me. |
