Need suggestions on where to meet new people in NC
 

Hi All,

I am new to this forum so be nice to me :)

I recently moved to Charlotte, I am Single and struggling to find where people hang out, how do people make connections.
I am in my 30s, so not really looking for anything crazy, just regular, fun, normal people to connect with.
Also, does anyone here have any experience with The Relationship Company?
I saw their ad on the TV and just curious if people have had success?
Anyway, hope to make some new friends here.

Charlotte... North Carolina?


I've never been to Charlotte... but in Southport and Wilmington there're tons of bars to go to and apparently arcade sports (like skeeball and DDR) and karaoke is pretty popular. I wasn't of age the last time I've been in NC so I don't know how fun these actually are in a bar atmosphere.. but they're pretty fun out of the bar.. and things are always more fun with alcohol. So.. try it out for sure!

My friend in Greensboro always hangs out at a hookah bar in her area.. so check out some hookah. I love strawberry-pineapple hookah.

Go to Do something, Learn something, Share something, Change something - Meetup.com for some groups in your area that will be meeting up soon.

have you tried facebook? hahaha! but seriously... if they have groups for your town, it might help.

Get a Twitter account and throw out a few Tweets to people withing 5 or 10 miles asking where the good hangout spots are. Facebook and Myspace groups will probably also help.

I was just about to tell you to join the facebook group downtown raleigh or ~the.Desighn!~. Unfortunately they only cater to the triangle. Wilmington is the place to be for holiday and party seekers but it's like an hour away from you so blah!

Either that or go to a bar. Your in the best city in NC iMHO.

I live in this fine city. Clubs are good I hear and there is an active nightlife. I have seen in the paper 'Creative Loafing' there are single get togethers. Also, at the Epicenter there is Alive after Five.

The Relationship Company doesn't have any offices here in North Carolina.
