(Legal) Herbal Smokes

If you don't know what I mean, here's an example:
"Chill" Herbal Smoking Blend

Non-tobacco, non-pot type variety. Anyone have any experiences with them? I've never tried them so I have no idea how they taste or what they might mean as far as effects go.

Basically I love fire and smoke. I think blowing smoke is just very beautiful in an artistic sense. But I dislike tobacco and the cancer risks associated with it. So I'm looking for an alternative. Something I can smoke openly and hopefully not smell bad afterward.

So anyone tried em?

Yeah, I've used that. But it is not for casual use. You must have gotten a weak batch, that stuff will make you go away for ~10 minutes. Very vivid hallucinations. First time I used it I was someone else, getting a drink of water in the middle of the desert. I gained some real epiphanies the first couple times.

PM if you want tips on how to get the best effect.

FYI: most things related to fire and smoke contain carcinogens. This includes grilling food. I'm sure herbal smokes are no exception.

Even most candles have toxins.

Other than that, I agree with your aesthetics of smoke, but I have no desire to smoke myself, other than the rare occasion of a cigar (if it's a good one).

As far as cancer risks from smoking anything go, marijuana is about the best you're going to get as THC is a potent anti-carcinogen. As far as herbal blends go, I don't have any experience with them but I'm not sure there's much difference from tobacco. Nicotine itself is not much of a carcinogen if I recall, it's really the tars and other combustion byproducts in smoke that cause the problem. (If you just want to get a buzz, use a vaporizer, but if you want to blow smoke that doesn't help you.)

Really though, I think the cancer risk from smoking anything is minimal from occasional use. It's more when you get to a pack a day that you need to worry.

I smoked clove herbal cigarettes to curb quitting. Nasty shit, burned my throat and the smell was too strong. And it didn't curb quitting after all.
