Ordering Glasses / Contacts Online
 

Anyone ever order glasses or contacts online? If so, what site did you order from and how was your experience? Any complaints - anything memorable?

A few weeks ago, I woke up to find that I hadn't entirely submerged one of my contacts into the solution and subsequently trapped it between the case and the lid. This shredded the contact and I spent the whole day, blind as I am without my contacts, closing one eye to read things until I successfully one-eyed it all the way down to the optometrist.

To make a long story short, for what I paid the optometrist for a six month supply, I could've gotten a yearly supply if I ordered online. I need frames now - any recommendations?

I ordered contacts from Vison Direct, and they were great. Nothing memorable, which is a good thing, it all went so smoothly and i was so happy with them, i forgot the experience. Cool thing was, if i tried to get them the regular way, the optomotrists all said i had to get another exam, and wait, and all this crap. So i just used my old prescription, and had new contacts soon thereafter.
