Sources of Orgasm

Well, Orgasm is so much associated with Sex.

But back when I was young, I use to get orgasms during my morning prayers.

During long worship sessions (associated with fasting, pure vegetarian diet, barefoot for 48 days that concludes with a pilgrim trip to a shrine in the midst of jungle) I use to get countless orgasms participating in worship. In fact these orgasms are so intense and they run through the entire body. I dont pray or worship these days. I am not spiritual now a days.

I even got an orgasm few minutes ago while watching "Show me the meaning of being lonely..." by Backstreet Boys in Youtube. It is not an orgasm from music, rather it is from the theme, emotions that are sensitive to me!

Sometimes during bowel movements I get orgasms. I understand that is due to the massage my prostate (aka male G-Spot?) gets during that moment.

Am I misunderstanding orgasm with some other feeling? Or is this normal and everyone have Orgasms from source OTHER THAN SEX?

Yes.

It seems to me that you need to do some reading in regards to the groundbreaking research that Masters and Johnson did into the physiological changes the body undergoes during orgasm.

The article is undercited, but most of the information provided holds with the reading I've done on the subject.

You used to get orgasms while praying and you're now NOT religious? Sorry...

Reaching climax without sexual stimulation (I'm going to assume that you weren't sexually stimulated during prayer) is normal for some people. For others it *could* be a sign of something else, but I'm not a doctor. The orgasm is regulated by three systems: vascular, nervous, and endocrine. If you're concerned that something could be wrong (I have no reason to necessarily believe there's anything wrong, but there's no harm in checking), you could speak to a doctor about it.

However, there is a long history in the Eastern traditions of particularly male orgasms without ejaculatory response.

The Shrill I get during worship and emotional (music/theme) dont have ejaculatory response. But they are very intense.
T
he ones I get during bowels induce ejaculation.

So ejaculation is required to orgasm?

Are they Sexual, Emotional, Spiritual or others?

yes unfortunately... :)
yeah it is not a sexual prayer lol
I have no concerns with orgasm or orgasmic experiences, it is just that I am trying to understand it.

now looks like they are not even orgasms

For me, a good and intense, shivery feeling that did *not* include ejaculation would not count as an orgasm.

And if I felt any pressure via my prostate during defecation, I'd tell my doctor about it immediately.

I've got to jump on the wagon that says you are confusing things. Are you ejaculating? Or are you getting that shivers-up-the-spine-because-that-song-just-hit-a-cord-with-you, and it felt great type of feeling. I mean hell, I've had some of those even give me wood, but I never came in my pants.

I think you're just jerking our chain here. Barefoot for 48 days while hiking in the jungle? Back Street Boys? Seriously...

no foot wear, no winter wear, no non-veg, no vulgar talk, no girls, no sex, no masturbation, no anger, no bed, no rug.

The whole thing happens in winter, the season when you actually feel like having lot of fun and stuff!!!

I enjoyed it so well, I had tough time breaking that life style even after I returned from the pilgrimage.

I found my life partner during this time. So imagine how platonic the start was (and even now the relationship is more about the platonic than the sexual...)

Also during those 48 days almost more than 40 days I use to climb hill nearby in the early morning. It was 2 miles from the place where I lived, and the climbing consists of 1000+ steps. I feel like writing a story somewhere with all details

please do, we'd love to read about it. Why don't you start a blog, right here on the TFP?

I think that what you're experiencing is possible but it sounds like a medical problem. You could have a mild form of PSAS (Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome)

PSAS on Wiki

I think you may be confused, but I also think it's unfair to say to a grown man he doesn't know what orgasms feel like...possible but unlikely IMO.
