I'm taking a break from my girlfriend - trying to get my head on straight and figure out my future; she wants to be a casting director which would mean moving to New York or Hollywood. I want to go into human resources (training and development) I live in a medium sized city on the Atlantic coast of Florida.

What is it like being a casting director?
What is it like living in NY city and Hollywood (the same as LA?)?

I will be graduating in December and am considering a few things like teaching overseas for a while, whether marriage is for me, and what life will be like out there. Thanks.
